Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Tabby Chrome extension ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Tabby is a free Chrome extension for intelligent tab management. It provides AI-powered grouping suggestions, duplicate detection, session recovery, memory management, and a chat-based assistant for tab operations.

Tabby is not a commercial service. It runs entirely within your browser and does not require an account or subscription.

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of Tabby, you agree to:

4. Intellectual Property

Tabby is owned by its developer. All rights, title, and interest in the Extension, including its code, design, and documentation, remain with the developer.

You retain full ownership of your data. Tabby does not claim any rights to your tab data, browsing history, saved groups, or any other information processed by the Extension.

5. Third-Party Services

Tabby optionally integrates with third-party AI providers. Each provider has their own terms of service that govern your use of their APIs:

When using the Custom Endpoint option, Tabby sends data to a server URL you configure. You are solely responsible for the security, privacy, and terms of service of any custom endpoint you connect to.

Tabby is not affiliated with any of these providers. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of their services.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. There is no service-level agreement (SLA) for Tabby.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Tabby shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of Tabby is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your data.

All Tabby data is stored locally on your device. When you uninstall the Extension, all locally stored data (settings, session snapshots, chat history, usage metrics) is automatically deleted by Chrome.

9. Termination

You may stop using Tabby at any time by uninstalling the Extension from Chrome. Upon uninstallation, all local data is automatically removed.

We reserve the right to discontinue the Extension at any time without notice.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will change. Your continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
